PAGASA: Cloudy skies to prevail today, June 20

(Eagle News) — Cloudy skies will prevail today, June 20, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Metro Manila will have cloudy skies to partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms are possible. Luzon, VIsayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate rains and slight to moderate coastal waters.

In its 4 p.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

President Duterte appoints new CHED commissioner

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a new Commission on Higher Education commissioner. Based on papers released by the Palace on Wednesday, June 19, Aldrin Darilag assumes the post left vacant by Prospero De Vera III. De Vera was promoted to CHED chairman in October last year. Darilag will serve as CHED commissioner until July 21, 2020.

Duterte signs law requiring free Internet, clean restrooms, lactating stations in transport terminals
