DTI Secretary urges passage of competition law

The Secretary of Department of Trade and Industry, Gregory Domingo, urges the House of Representative to expedite the passage of the competition law, saying that past measures taken to liberalize key sectors of the economy should be reinforced by measures that safeguard competitive conditions.

No visitors allowed in NBP

No visitors are allowed in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) after the explosion of a grenade in the maximum security prison. According to Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, it depends on the head of the Bureau of Corrections if their visitation rights will be returned. Said visitation rights were suspended due to the refusal of inmates to cooperate in the investigation.

PNP vs Rebels: Over 30 dead in Mindanao clash
