Canadian Government offers condolences after MB Nirvana’s Tragedy

MANILA, Philippines, July 3 (Eagle News) — The Canadian Government offered its condolences to the Philippines after the capsizing tragedy in Ormoc City that claimed the lives of 42 people. Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Rob Nicholson said that Canada was deeply saddened over the tragedy. At least 36 passengers killed in Ormoc ferry accident

AT least 36 passengers of a ferry carrying 189 passengers and crew were killed when the boat capsized minutes after leaving the port of Ormoc on Thursday. Many on board the motorized outrigger MBCA Kim-Nirvana, which had 173 passengers and 16 crew onboard, were rescued by the coastguard and police.
