Philippine consulate verifies Filipino casualty in Hajj pilgrimage

According to the Filipino consul-general to Jeddah, Imelda Panulong, the Philippine consulate is coordinating with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos which guaranteed the security of the reported 8,100 Filipinos that joined the Hajj pilgrimage. DFA coordinates with Canadian and Norwegian embassies regarding kidnapping incident

De Lima seeks strict compliance to smoke ban

Justice Secretary Leila De Lima encouraged the public to strictly adhere to the law banning smoking in public places. Paje is urging the public to report cases of unauthorized extraction of water from deep wells as the government intensifies its crackdown on such illegal activity that causes groundwater depletion in Metro Manila and nearby areas.
