QUEZON City, Philippines – In an exclusive live coverage of the Eagle News Service, the House of Representatives conducted a hearing on the alleged illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison. Said illegal drug trade was conducted with the alleged involvement of Senator Leila De Lima. The Department of Justice (DOJ) presented witnesses and the House of Representatives granted immunity to said witnesses.
QUEZON City, Philippines – Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa admitted that President Rodrigo Duterte is looking for the right time and opportunity to reveal the third and last “narco-list”. Dela Rosa said that it is hard to gauge the right time in revealing the list as it contains the names of more high officials of the country, including barangay chairmen, mayors, governors, congressmen and even members of the PNP.

According to Dela Rosa, he plans to study and observe the methods used by the Colombia to totally suppress the illegal drug trade. Colombia was notorious during the ’80s for its illegal drug cartels supplying 90% of the world’s cocaine, thereby gaining the tag “narco-state”.
QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) – Speaker of the House of Representatives Pantaleon Alvarez has granted immunity to the six witnesses presented by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on the alleged illegal drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). With the grant of immunity, no case may be filed against the witnesses based on any of their statements made during the House hearing.
QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator Richard Gordon asked for the support of his fellow senators after being voted as the new chair of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights. This was after majority of the senators voted to oust Senator Leila De Lima as chair of the powerful senate committee, with a 16 – 4 vote.
