At least 37 blocks of “cocaine” found floating off Dinagat Islands

(Eagle News) — At least 37 blocks of suspected cocaine were recovered off Dinagat Islands in Caraga. The police said the blocks of suspected cocaine were found floating near the shoreline of Cagdianao in Barangay Poblacion on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The discovery was reported by a fisherman to the Cagdianao municipal police station. The blocks will be subjected to examination at the Crime Laboratory of the Police Regional Office-13.

4.2-magnitude aftershock hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude aftershock struck Surigao del Norte on Friday, Feb. 15. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the aftershock from the 5.9-magnitude earthquake in the province on Feb. 8 hit 53 kilometers southeast of General Luna at 5:24 a.m. The depth of focus was 9 kilometers.
