The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 78 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 6:41 a.m. Depth of focus was 175 kilometers. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 18 kilometers southeast of Tulunan at 3:13 p.m. Depth of focus was 30 kilometers.
