(Eagle News)–More areas are under a Signal No. 2 as Typhoon “Tisoy” maintains its strength and moved towards the Bicol area. PHL clinches more golds with wins in arnis, women’s sepak takraw events

(Eagle News)–The Philippines hauled more golds in the 30th Southeast Asian Games with wins in arnis and the women’s sepak takraw events. PHL adds golds to SEA Games medal tally after wins in dancesport

(Eagle News)–The Philippines added   golds to its medal tally on Sunday, Dec. 1, with wins in different categories in the dancesport event. Mark Jayson Gayon and partner May Joy Renigen took home the gold in the Standard Waltz and Slow Foxtrot categories. Sean Mischa Aranar and Ana Leonila Nualla, on the other hand, dominated the Viennese Waltz and Tango events. With their wins, the Philippines’ gold medal tally rises to seven.      

PHL defeats Indonesia in prelims of women’s sepak takraw event

(Eagle News)–The Philippines defeated Indonesia in the preliminary round of the women’s sepak takraw event in Subic on Sunday, Dec. 1. The final score was 670-660. Earlier, John Chicano clinched the country’s first gold in the 30th SEA Games with a  win against fellow Filipino Kim Remolino in the men’s triathlon event. PHIVOLCS issues Taal Volcano advisory due to “Tisoy”

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology has issued a   Taal volcano advisory, with “Tisoy’s” track expected to include Calabarzon. In the advisory, PHIVOLCS  reiterated that the entire volcano island was strictly a  Permanent Danger Zone and is not recommended for permanent settlement at all times.
