Cloudy skies, isolated rainshowers forecast in parts of PHL

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers are expected in parts of the country today. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly  cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as the easterlies affect the country. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible. Northern Luzon will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

PHL to receive 3000 COVID-19 test kits from Singapore

(Eagle News)–Singapore is donating 3000 coronavirus disease 2019 kits to the Philippines. This is according to Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., who made the announcement in a Tweet on Sunday, March 22. According to Locsin, Singapore will also give one thermal cycler or PCR machine. The machine is used for diagnosis. The Philippines has so far recorded 380 COVID-19 cases and 25 deaths.  

Two other Filipinos test positive for COVID-19 abroad

(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that another two Filipino nationals tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 abroad. In an advisory, the DFA said one was confined in local health facility in Brunei. He is in stable condition, according to the Ministry of Health of Brunei Darussalam. Duque tests negative for COVID-19

(Eagle News)–Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019. Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire made the revelation in a radio interview on Sunday, March 22. Duque on Thursday said he had gone on self-quarantine  as a precaution. Taytay, Rizal confirms 2 COVID-19 cases, including one death

(Eagle News)–The municipality of Taytay in Rizal has confirmed two coronavirus disease 2019 cases, including one death. In a Facebook post, the municipal government said the fatality was a woman from Barangay San Juan whose remains have been cremated in the St. Peter Crematory. MIAA releases list of operational flights

(Eagle News)–The Manila International Airport Authority released on Sunday, March 22, a list of operational flights amid the enhanced community quarantine. According to the list, there are 65 operational flights–35 departures and 32 arrivals. DOTr to distribute 100,000 donated face masks to frontliners
