COMELEC to scrutinize 130 presidential aspirants

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will conduct a preliminary conference for the 130 individuals who submitted certificates of candidacy for the presidency. Although most are obvious nuisance candidates, all would not be denied due process. The COMELEC will study said aspirants’ platform as well as capability to conduct a nationwide campaign.
