MANILA – The Embassy of France launched last October 5 a week-long event to raise awareness about climate change ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris later this year. A symbolic bike ride led by the French Embassy and other members of the diplomatic corps will bike from Rizal Park-Intramuros-Rizal Park as a show of solidarity in the fight against climate change. Hundreds of Filipinos are expected to join the ride.
VIPs include French Embassy Deputy Head of Mission Laurent Legodec, EU Ambassador Franz Jessen, Netherlands Ambassador Marion Derckx, Climate Change Commission Vice-Chairperson Lucille Sering, National Youth Commissioner Dingdong Dantes, weather anchor Kim Atienza, and Liter of Light founder Illac Diaz.
