QUEZON City, Philippines (October 2) – The so called fight of the century unexpectedly turned into Cuddling of the century.

The most awaited fight of the century between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao happened last May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas but instead of a historic fight, it left a lousy experience to the viewers.

Floyd Mayweather won over Pacquiao via unanimous decision but the audiences is not pleased by their performance and after the fight the crowned pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather has become the laughing stock of the whole world. Some said that it would have been better if he just competed in a marathon for running almost throughout the fight or he better get a teddy bear to hug rather than his opponent. There are memes that has gone viral through social media and one of these is the Kentucky Floyd Chicken where the champ was compared into a famous fast food chain. It also has the tag lines “our birds are randomly blood tested” which represents how Mayweather insisted that Pacquiao and him should draw a blood sample for testing, the other tagline was “Olympic style for safety”.

For running, hugging, cuddling and barely throwing punches the viewers who was displeased by what they saw, expressed their disappointment through memes. Mayweather were showered with boos and negative comments after the fight but either of the two fighters can blame the viewers for what they have done is a disgrace in boxing history.

Mayweather may have won the fight but not the people’s heart and respect. Being called as Kentucky Floyd Chicken is a huge blow to his pride and ego. Will there be another fight to regain his dignity or will he just play safe, reach 49-0 record and retire without a good show of boxing match with his biggest rival Pacquiao?
