Your views on Miss Universe 2015 – Lessons learned

QUEZON City, Philippines (December 25) – A lot of preparation is needed before a lady can join the Miss Universe. That’s why you can’t blame the contestants if all of them aspire to reign as Miss Universe 2015. But this year’s Miss Universe pageant proved that it is not only the contestants who should be prepare, the host should also be. And he must not be overwhelmed by his nerves and remain calm. After all, he is not part of the contest, so he should keep his cool and read that envelope well.

That said, let’s all take a step back and take in the lessons that we should learn from Miss Universe 2015.

Lesson #1: No one is to be blame in that incident because people are people, all of us make mistakes but not all of us are brave enough to accept and correct our mistakes. At least Steve Harvey is one of the people who are willing to apologize and humble enough to take responsibility of his wrong announcement.

Lesson # 2: People should stop bashing Steve Harvey, Ariadna Gutierrez-Arevalo and Pia Wurtzbach, because none of them want that incident to happen. And people should not talk about who’s the real victim, because both of them are.

Lesson # 3: We also cannot fault the audience if they express their deep sympathy to Miss Colombia, because she already felt that she won the most prestigious beauty contest title, and her emotions are already high because she is already wearing the crown. Just imagine what you would feel when you are in her shoes when after a minute or two, the host will announce that there was a mistake and you are not the winner. People sympathize with her because they know that what happened is such an embarrassment, because the whole world is watching.

AriadnaBut sadly, people are busy expressing their sympathy to Miss Colombia, they didn’t even noticed that the moment was also spoiled for the real winner. Pia Wurtzbach will never experience how it truly feels to win.

Lesson # 4: People will always have something to say and it is inevitable especially in this kind of situation, because this is the most awaited beauty contest for the whole universe. A lot of opinions and violent reactions arises in every side of the world. Some people understand that what happened is just a huge mistake made by the host while some are bitter and they are insisting that Miss Colombia should be the real winner.

Nonetheless, the crown is already given to its rightful owner and we can’t do anything about that anymore. We should just be happy and we should all stop the hate and negative reactions. We will never get the chance to bring back that exact moment, so we should just accept it and move on.

Someone already accepted that he made the mistake, so let’s not blame anybody else. I am not saying that we should blame Harvey because he accepted his mistake already, what I am saying is that, we should all look at this incident as a lesson. A lesson wherein a person made a mistake and bravely and humbly accept the blame and take responsibility to it. Let’s just look at the bright of the incident, because somehow we have learn something from it and let’s all be like a proton, stay positive.
