Yellow alert hoisted over Luzon grid on Wednesday, May 15

(Eagle News)–The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines hoisted a yellow alert over the Luzon grid on Wednesday, May 15.

The alert, which means reserves do not meet the minimum required capacity, is in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Available capacity is at 11,845 MW, while
peak demand is at 11,214 MW.

“Details on the cause to be announced by the Department of Energy (DOE) later in the day,” the NGCP said.
