Watch: A walk through on what to expect at PITX, the first of its kind landport in Parañaque City

(Eagle News) — The newest landport terminal in Parañaque City opened on Monday, Nov. 5 after its inatuguration by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Known as the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), this is part of the Duterte administration’s “Build, Build, Build” program.

There is an automated fare collection, scheduled arrival and departure of provincial buses and in-city transport services, organized loading and unloading areas, escalators, elevators, and online ticketing system.

Just like in an airport, passengers will be given a boarding pass.

The landport in Parañaque is the first of its kind in the Philippines and looks like a modern airport.

It has high-tech amenities, 24-hour CCTV cameras, clean restrooms with shower rooms, amont others

It will serve as a modern transport point for provincial buses and other passenger vehicles, including jeepneys, taxis and UV shuttle express, coming from south of the country.

This is expected to reduce congestion of provincial buses in Metro Manila.

This is a project of the Department of Transportation and the MWM Terminals, Incorporated.

The DoTr assured that all transport projects of the Duterte government would be modern to provide comfort to the public.

De Leon said that this week, after the inauguration by President Duterte of the complex, the PITX will be “fully operational.”

It will also have a shopping center, as well as a wellness center, for passengers and the general public soon.
