Vico Sotto takes his oath as Pasig City mayor ending 27 years of Eusebio rule

(Eagle News) — Newly-elected Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto took his oath on Sunday, June 30, as he officially began his duties as mayor of a city which had previously been under the rule of Eusebio clan for 27 years.

The 30-year old neophyte mayor was accompanied by his father, Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto, and mother, actress Coney Reyes, when he took his oath before Commission on Audit chairperson Michael Aguinaldo at the Pasig City Sports Center.

He beat incumbent mayor Robert “Bobby” Eusebio by over 70,000 votes in the May 13 midterm elections.

Pasig City Representative Roman Romulo also took his oath of office on Sunday. He was accompanied by wife, Shahani Soledad, a politician and former TV personality.
