UAAP games slated on Saturday, Sept. 15, cancelled

(Eagle News) — The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) on Friday, Sept. 14, announced the suspension of UAAP games scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 15.

UAAP Season 81 Nilo Ocampo said the decision to suspend was made “after due consultation and considering what appears to be a severe weather disturbance.”

Scheduled on Saturday were the Ateneo vs. FEU and the Adamson vs. La Salle men’s basketball games at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

The women’s basketball games between UST and La Salle, and Adamson and NU were also slated at 8 a.m. and at 10 a.m., respectively.

Ocampo did not say when the suspended games would push through.

Earlier, the UAAP suspended the chess tournament matches scheduled on that day and on Sunday, Sept. 16.

The matches were rescheduled to Sept. 19.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has said “Ompong” would make landfall in northern Luzon early Saturday.
