Two retired military officials, dismissed port collector now Customs deputy chiefs

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed two retired military officials and a dismissed district collector to government posts.

Apart from dismissed Port of Manila District Collector Vener Baquiran, appointed as deputy chiefs of the Bureau of Customs were retired Lt. Gen. Donato San Juan II and retired Brig. Gen. Raniel Ramiro.

Baquiran had been dismissed following the discovery of illegal drugs in magnetic lifters last year.

Duterte signed their appointment papers on March 6 but they were shown to the media on Saturday, May 25.
