WASHINGTON DC, United States (Reuters) – A speeding white truck struck and injured two D.C. bike patrol police officers and a third public works employee on Thursday (June 8) in the northwest Washington D.C. neighborhood of Adams Morgan.

Witnesses said the speeding truck was racing down the street when it struck the three victims and proceeded right through an intersection before crashing into a parked dump truck.

Local media say one of the officers was in critical condition and the other two were in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.

Two suspects from the truck, including the driver, were arrested, according to local media, and an investigation was still underway.
