(Eagle News) –  Have you seen Guimaras’ “Mango Jeepney”?

This unique jeepney is not only 100% Philippine made, but is also an ingenious way of promoting Guimaras province’s famous mangoes.

It has two colors:  green and yellow, much like the famous mangoes which the province of Guimaras is known for.

The jeepney custom-made by Pasajero Sosyal Industries of Pavia Iloilo is really a sight to behold as it travels around Iloilo and Guimaras as a tourist vehicle, ferrying guests to and from various attractions on the island province.

The jeep can comfortably seat 13 people, exluding the driver.  But it can also seat up to 18 passengers. It even has a space at the back for bulky things and other baggage.

The jepney has seat covers, ceiling, exteriors and interiors that feature as part of its design a lot of mangoes, both green and yellow.  Passengers would certainly feel  that special Guimaras mango experience when riding this unique jeepney.

So when you have a chance to visit Guimaras and Iloilo City, don’t forget to check out this unique vehicle, that is also a pride of Guimaras.   And why not take a selfie too with the “mango jeepney”?
