The 2015 Philippine Raw Bench Press Championships

QUEZON City, Philippines (October 12)- The  2015 Philippine Raw Bench Press Championships held at Fisher Mall, Quezon City was a success with over 100 athletes competed in the event.

With Teams from Universities, Fitness Gyms, and Barbell clubs in the country saw action in different categories from Developmental, Sub-Jr, Junior, Highschool,College, and Open Category for Men and Women.

Total of 18 new Philippine records was set in the event 3 from our National Powerlifters Joan Masangkay (Cyber Muscle) 2 from Nicole Go (UP Powerlifting Team), and 4 from  New Era University.

The second competition will be the 2015 Philippine Raw Powerlifting Championship will be held on November 21-22 where atheletes will compete in the squat and deadlift events.

Jessa Mae Tabuan (Cyber Muscle) set a new girls developmental record in the 35kg class with a lift of 38kg

Joan Masangkay (Cyber Muscle/ALS) set new Women’s Sub-jr, Junior, and High school records in the 43kg class with a lift of 37.5kg

Mia Marie Tapanan (New Era University) set a new women’s college record in the 43kg class with a lift of 35kg

Blance Barrun (New Era University) set a new women’s college record in the 57kg class with a lift of 37.5kg

Kathleen Chiang (MNL Powerlfitng) set a new women’s college record in the 63kg class with a lift of 50kg

Nicole Go (UP Powerlifting team) set new women’s junior and open records in the 84kg class with a lift of 60.5kg

Renz Yorick Sibul (New Era University) set a new men’s high school record in the 53kg class with a lift of 55kg

Adlan Castaneda (New Era University) set a new men’s high school record in the 66kg class with a lift of 62.5kg

Vlademeer Sorezo (Zest Power Gym) set a new men’s open record in the 83kg class with a lift of 160kg

Renato Dio (Bozanian) set new men’s Master I and Master II records in the 93kg class with a lift of 143kg

Brandon Cueto (UP Power-lifting team) set a new men’s college record in the 105kg class with a lift of 140kg

Jimbo Bautista (Bozanian) set a new men’s open record in the 105kg class with a lift of 177.5kg

Hansel Cotek (Zest Power Gym) set a new men’s Master I record in the 120kg class with a lift of 130kg

Raymond Debuque (Zest Power Gym/UP Power-lifting team) set a new men’s college record in the 120+kg class with a lift of 160kg.
