BANGKOK, Thailand (Reuters) — Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Wednesday (November 9) relations with U.S. will remain unchanged whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump wins the elections.

“We have been an ally with the United States for over 180 years. No matter who becomes the president, I think Thailand would have to move forward with balancing out its foreign policy,” he told reporters.

Donald Trump’s successful campaign for the White House broke every tradition and upended the political establishment with the same bluster, hyperbole and media mastery that made him one of the world’s best-known businessmen.
