The Court of Appeals has acquitted Janet Lim Napoles, the accused mastermind in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam, in the serious illegal detention case filed by whistleblower Benhur Luy. In a decision dated May 5, the CA 12th division has granted Napoles’ appeal, and recommended her acquittal for the alleged crime of kidnapping Luy in 2012.
