Heavy rainfall warning hoisted over Sorsogon, other areas due to “Tisoy”

(Eagle News)–A heavy rainfall warning has been hoisted over several areas as “Tisoy” slightly intensified and made landfall in Gubat, Sorsogon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said a red warning  has been hoisted over Northern Samar, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur and Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands. Three French flood rescuers killed in helicopter crash

Yellow rainfall warning hoisted over N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A yellow rainfall warning has been hoisted over Northern Samar. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said flooding is expected in low-lying areas, near river channels and landslides in mountainous areas in that area. Light to moderate to at times heavy rains are being experienced in Bicol Region, particularly in Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte. PAGASA said these may persist for one to three hours.
