Orange rainfall warning hoisted over Zambales

(Eagle News)–An orange rainfall warning has been hoisted over Zambales, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Monday, Aug. 20. PAGASA said a yellow rainfall warning, on the other hand, is up over Bataan. Light to moderate rains with occasional heavy rains are currently affecting Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac , Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas. The state weather bureau said these may persist for  two to three hours.

LPA may become storm

The low pressure area continues to gather strength, according to the PAGASA, gaining higher possibility of developing into a storm, earning the designation “Kanor”.

Humid weather for today

According to the PAGASA, the easterlies will affect the country, resulting in fair and humid weather. As we enter the month of May, rain showers during the afternoon will become more frequent.

LPA dissipates in northern Samar

The low pressure area being monitored by PAGASA dissipated in northern Samar. Due to the effect of the easterlies, the whole country, including Metro Manila will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with scattered rain showers in the afternoon.
