COMELEC records 150 malfunctioning VCMs

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Commission on Elections recorded 150 vote-counting machines that experienced malfunction at yesterday’s elections. According to COMELEC Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, most of the malfunctioning vote-counting machines were immediately replaced. The COMELEC added that these incidents were more acceptable compared to the last automated elections were 1, 300 machines experienced technical problems. VCM breakdowns in Nueva Ecija precincts

Various vote counting machines (VCM) broke down in numerous Nueva Ecija precincts causing delay, frustration, and confusion among the voters in queue. QUEZON City, Philippines — The Commission on Elections has ordered the final testing and sealing (FTS) of the vote counting machines (VCMs) this week. Ballots undergo final verification

QUEZON City, Philippines – The final verification of the printed ballots of the National Printing Office will be completed today, April 22 which is earlier than the self-imposed deadline of the Commission on Elections which is on April 25. Overseas Absentee Voting, all-systems go

MANILA, Philippines – According to the Commission on Elections, it is all-systems go for the overseas absentee voting which will commence on April 9 and will last until May 9.
