VACC proposed return of death penalty

MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The group of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) calls for the return of the death penalty in the wake of the death sentence against Mary Jane Veloso in Indonesia. According to the group, the Philippines also face widespread illegal drugs problem and is part of the route of illegal drug cartels from Mexico and China.

Citizens’ group counters taxi selfies

The group Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption is against the proposal of the Philippine National Police (PNP) which encouraged commuters to take selfies with taxi drivers to minimize taxi-related crimes, saying that taxi drivers have the right to refuse having their photo taken.
