ICMY: VCM malfunction normal – COMELEC

QUEZON City, Philippines – After many reports regarding malfunctioning vote-counting machines, the Commission on Elections is studying the possibility of extending the voting period, which needs a COMELEC resolution. Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said that although the vote-counting machines underwent checks and testings, it is normal for VCMs to malfunction as the machines have been transported to distant locations.
