Van carrying actress Kim Chiu shot in QC; actress, 2 others unhurt

(Eagle News)–A van carrying actress Kim Chiu was shot by unidentified gunmen in Quezon City on Wednesday, March 4. The actress and her companions, the driver and personal assistant, were unharmed, a radio report said. Police said the incident took place at the corner of Katipunan and CP Garcia avenues past 6 a.m. Police are still probing the incident.

German police rule out ‘political motive’ in van attack

DFA checking for Filipino casualties after van rams packed restaurant in Germany

(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs is still checking whether there were Filipino casualties when a vehicle plowed into a crowd of pedestrians in Munster, Germany. In a DFA statement, Embassy Chargè d’Affaires Lilibeth Pono said around 4,100 of the 22,500 Filipinos are in North Rhine-Westphalia, where Munster is located. Driver in Barcelona van attack still on the run: police

BARCELONA, Spain (AFP) — The driver of a van that mowed into a packed street in Barcelona, killing at least 13 people, is still on the run, Spanish police said Thursday.
