The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council confirmed that at least one died during the onslaught of Typhoon “Jose”, when the Pangasinan native jumped from a hanging bridge and was carried away by strong waters. More than 6,000 were affected by the said typhoon.

Typhoon on its way to Japan
Typhoon “Jose” moves towards southern Japan while maintaining its strength. Although the typhoon has no effect on the country, it is strengthening the prevailing “habagat” weather system, bringing rains all over the country.

The Ilocos region and central Luzon as well as Metro Manila will experience rains as typhoon “Jose” affects the “habagat” weather system. The PAGASA did not raise public storm signals in any part of the country.
“Jose” weakens as it moves away PAR
In its latest bulletin, the PAGASA said that typhoon “Jose” continues to weaken as it moves away from the country. The typhoon was last seen near Aparri. PAGASA reiterated that “Jose” will not affect any part of the country, saying that it is the “habagat” that is bringing rains to the Philippines.
