(Eagle News)–Typhoon “Liwayway” has maintained its strength as it moves toward the Southern Ryukyu Islands. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Liwayway” was located 470 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.
