(Eagle News) — The Sandiganbayan has issued a warrant of arrest against Davao del Norte Rep. Antonio Floirendo. The warrant stems from the graft case filed by the Ombudsman in connection with a questionable deal between the Bureau of Corrections and the Tagum Agricultural Development Company (Tadeco). The complaint in the Ombudsman was filed in March 2017 by Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, who argued Floirendo had “financial interests” in Tadeco even when he had already been elected a lawmaker. […]
