PNP considers extension of SAF in Bilibid

QUEZON City, Philippines – According to the Philippine National Police, there is still no formal letter from Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre in connection with the latter’s request to extend by three months the appointment of PNP Special Action Forces in the New Bilibid Prison. JUSTICE Secretary Leila de Lima said that some 90 suspects will be charged criminally for the killing of 35 of the 44 members of the Philippine National Police- Special Action Forces (PNP-SAF) based on the findings of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the National Prosecution Service (NPS).
