5 soldiers injured in Maguindanao blast

(Eagle News)– Five soldiers were wounded by a blast from an improvised explosive device in Maguindanao on Sunday. PFC Maguncia, PFC Purol, Pvt. Ramirez,  1Lt. Jano Cyril C. Reyes and PFC Crispo–who are all members of the 57th Infantry Battalion—were wounded after the IED hit their vehicle in Barangay Meta in Datu Unsay around 7:30 a.m. There are no other details available. South Korean soldiers’ wages almost doubled

(AFP) — South Korea nearly doubled wages for its rank-and-file conscripted soldiers on Tuesday but their pay will remain just a fraction of the country’s minimum wage.
