Pokemon GO a no-no in voting precincts on Barangay, SK polls

  (Eagle News)– The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) advised voters on not playing the augmented reality game Pokemon GO at voting precincts during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 31.   Earlier this month, the game is already facing a possible ban in select places in Quezon City and been blamed for making traffic in EDSA worse.   Fines for motorists playing the game while driving have already been imposed.

COMELEC to strictly implement anti-political dynasty law in SK elections

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will strictly implement the anti-political dynasty provisions of the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 in the upcoming SK elections. Candidates for SK must declare if they have any relatives who are in public service. If candidates fail to comply with the provisions, they will be disqualified as well as charged with perjury.
