MANILA, Philippines, August 26 (Eagle News) — Thousands of senior citizens beneficiaries in Makati City that benefited from then Makati Mayor and now Vice President Jejomar Binay’s programs are missing, as the Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee continues its probe on the alleged anomalies against Binay. The Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee continued with its probe on the allegations against Vice President Jejomar Binay Sr., in particular, the irregular transactions under the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) and the Boys Scouts of the Philippines (BSP).
Despite his continued refusal to attend the hearing, the Senate Blue Ribbon sub-committee will send another invitation to the Vice-President to attend their October 30 hearing.
According to Senate Blue Ribbon Sub-Committee Chairman Senator Koko Pimentel said that the senate will grill the Commission on Audit on its continuing investigation of the overpriced Makati building, to find out how the irregularities regarding the building passed the said commission.
