MANILA, May 29 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), particularly the Philippine Embassy in Abuja warns the public, overseas Filipinos workers (OFWs) in Nigeria, and kababayans of a reported scam in Accra, Ghana which operates through telephone lines or social networking sites in the Philippines to steal money from unsuspecting individuals. Scam in the judiciary undergoes investigation
The Supreme Court summons an employee tagged as “Ma’am Arlene” which is allegedly influential in the judiciary. The high court, particularly the ad hoc committee headed by Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, has issued the summons to Arlene Angeles Lerma in her last known address. But the Bureau of Immigration said that a certain Arlene Angeles Lerma has already left the country for Singapore in October last year.
