Labor groups proposed 16K minimum wage
Confederation for Unity, Recognition and Advancement for Government Employees or COURAGE proposed that the minimum wage be raised to Php 16, 000 for employees working in the private sector. Said proposal was made as the Senate studies the Salary Standardization Law for government employees. Next president will have higher salary
If the Salary Standardization Law endorsed by President Aquino is approved by the Senate, the salary of the next president will also increase from Php 120, 000 to Php 388, 000. Also to be increased is the salary of the Vice-President from Php 107, 099 to Php 330, 418.
