President Duterte appoints Ampunin, Macarambon as SBMA board members

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte named two new board members of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). Based on the appointment papers released by Malacañang, the President appointed Rolando Ampunin to replace former SBMA board member Benny Antiporda. Antiporda has been appointed as Department of Environment and Natural Resources undersecretary. President Duterte also named former Lanao del Sur Rep. (Eagle News) — Two assistant secretaries have been ordered to resign  over alleged corruption and abuse of power. Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said asked to step down were  Public Works Assistant Secretary Tingagun Ampaso Umpa and Justice Assistant Secretary Moslemen Macarambon Sr. According to Roque, based on an investigation, Macarambon was “regularly intervening” on behalf of alleged smugglers.
