(Eagle News) – The Southwest monsoon is still affecting extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA said. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms, forecasters said. Possible flashfloods and landslides could occur during severe thunderstorms. PAGASA said there is no low pressure area within the country, and there is no LPA seen outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)

As of 4 a.m. today, PAGASA said that only a low pressure area (LPA) remains in the country and is estimated to be 215 kilometers northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. Tropical Depression Chedeng had been further downgraded into a low pressure area after it continued to weaken since yesterday.
