JUST IN: PHL economy posts 6.2 percent growth in 2018

(Eagle News) — The Philippine economy posted a 6.2 percent growth in 2018, the Philippine Statistics Authority announced on Thursday, Jan. 24. This was after the economy posted a 6.1 percent growth in  the fourth quarter of 2018. According to the PSA, this was higher than the 6.0 percent recorded in the third quarter of 2018. JUST IN: Inflation rate reaches 6.4 percent in August — PSA

(Eagle News) — Inflation reached 6.4 percent in August, the Philippine Statistics Office reported on Wednesday, Sept. 5. According to the PSA, this was the fastest recorded  since the 6.6 percent inflation rate in March 2009. Earlier, the Department of Finance predicted an inflation rate of 5.88 percent.
