PDEA: Over 5,000 barangays declared drug-free because of anti-drug campaign

(Eagel News) — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported on Wednesday that over 5,000 barangays in the country have already been declared drug-free under the administration’s anti-drug campaign since July 1, 2016 up to February 8, 2018. PDEA purchases drones, other equipment for use in war vs drugs

Among those purchased were  20 high-end drones the agency said would be a big help in its men’s surveillance activities and actual operations. (Eagle News) – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is aiming for a drug-free Philippines by the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s term in 2022. The Palace on Wednesday, December 6, made public Memorandum Order No. 17 directing the Philippine National Police and other agencies to provide “active support” to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the government’s war on drugs.
