(Eagle News) — Nearly 1,000 passengers on Monday, June 11, were stranded in various ports in Bicol and the Western Visayas due to heavy rains because of the southwest monsoon. More than 2,000 passengers stranded

More than 2, 000 passengers were stranded in the ports of five regions due to the rampage of tropical storm “Mario”. According to the Philippine Coast Guard, a total of 2, 480 passengers were stranded in the ports of NCR, Cebu, Southern Tagalog, Western Visayas and Bicol. A total of 15 vessels, 7 motor boats and 252 rolling cargoes were not allowed to travel.
