President Duterte vows to bring home pardoned OFWs from Middle East

QUEZON City, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte promised to bring home to the country Overseas Filipino Workers who had been granted clemency in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain. There are currently 5000 OFWs who received pardon from the Middle East and are scheduled to be repatriated to the Philippines. The President went to the Middle East for a round of official visits.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has issued a public advisory on Monday (December 19) on the demise of a 74-year old Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Lebanon, asking the relatives to coordinate with them so the OFW’s body could be flown home.
