(Eagle News)–A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Tuesday, July 30. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 24 kilometers southeast of Sablayan at 9:42 a.m. Depth of focus was 15 kilometers. An instrumental intensity I was felt in Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 18 kilometers northeast of Lubang at 2:14 p.m. Depth of focus of the earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, was 60 kilometers. PHIVOLCS said no damage nor aftershocks were expected.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake jolted the province at 1:54 p.m., minutes after another of a 4.5 magnitude shook Davao Occidental. Depth of focus of the second earthquake was pegged at 28 kilometers. There were no reported casualties.
