PHIVOLCS: Magnitude-5.4 earthquake hits Northern Samar

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) – A magnitude-5.4 earthquake jolted Northern Samar on Monday, April 10, two days after the “earthquake swarm” in Batangas. The quake was felt at 8:43 in the morning. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the earthquake epicenter was 74 kilometers northeast of Northern Samar, and has a depth of 17 kilometers. (Eagle News) — Niyanig ng 4.5 magnitude na lindol ang hilagang silangan ng Catarman, Samar. Ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) temblor, tectonic ang origin nito na naitala pasado alas-otso kwarenta’y tres  (8:43 AM)ng umaga.
