US embassy, affiliated offices closed on Wednesday, Aug. 21

(Eagle News)–The United States embassy will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The embassy said its affiliated offices will also be closed on that day, in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day, a national non-working holiday. Operations at the embassy and their affiliated offices will resume on Thursday, Aug. 22, the embassy said.

August has two long weekends

MANILA, Philippines, August 4 (Eagle News) — Malacañang reminded the public of two long weekends for the month of August. August 21 marks the celebration of the Ninoy Aquino Day while August 31 marks National Heroes Day.
