DND constructs jail facility for Pemberton

The Department of National Defense is now on the process of constructing a jail facility for United States Marines Lance Corporal Joseph Scot Pemberton. Pemberton was declared guilty by the Regional Trial Court of Olongapo City, Zambales for killing the Filipino transgender, Jeffrey Laude, also known as, Jennifer. No visitors allowed in NBP

No visitors are allowed in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) after the explosion of a grenade in the maximum security prison. According to Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, it depends on the head of the Bureau of Corrections if their visitation rights will be returned. Said visitation rights were suspended due to the refusal of inmates to cooperate in the investigation.

DOJ dismisses NBP executive

The Chief of Reformation and Administration of the New Bilibid Prison was dismissed due to his alleged interference of the Bureau of Corrections’ confiscation of prohibited items in the said prison.
