Medialdea: Extending martial law in Mindanao an “option” following deadly blast in Sultan Kudarat

President Duterte meets with MNLF’s Misuari in Davao

(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte met with Moro National Liberation Front chair Nur Misuari in Davao on Wednesday, Aug. 22. This is according to Special Assistant to the President Bong Go. Without elaborating, Go said Misuari and the President expressed hopes for a lasting peace in Mindanao. NPA’s top finance officer in Mindanao arrested in Butuan

(Eagle News)– The New People’s Army’s top finance officer for Mindanao has been arrested, the military said on Saturday, June 2. The Eastern Mindanao Command said  Nerita Calamba de Castro was apprehended during a joint police and military operation in Barangay Ambago in Butuan on Thursday, May 31.
