In a statement, the Department of Justice said Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Richard Anthony Fadullon was the new officer in charge of the Office of the Prosecutor General effective June 30, 2018. Guevarra gets CA nod as justice secretary

(Eagle News)–The Commission on Appointments on Wednesday, May 30, confirmed the appointment of Menardo Guevarra as Justice Secretary. Guevarra’s confirmation came a day after Bernadette Romulo-Puyat was confirmed as Tourism Secretary. Guevarra was deputy executive director before he was appointed to head the justice department, whose then-secretary, Vitaliano Aguirre III, resigned following public indignation over a DOJ panel of prosecutors dismissal of drug charges filed against self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa and others.
